Educating the community on interior design, history of design, drafting and color theory.

Color Theory:
Children's Educational Programs
Learning color theory through hands on activities, and leaving with research they can wear! Programs created for young children ages 3-5, other programs for elementary aged kids, and more advanced programs for high-school and beyond!

Programs introduce age-appropriate ideas such as primary and secondary colors, color mixing, contrast, pattern, and creative experimentation through hands-on activities. Rather than simply completing a craft, participants explore why colors behave the way they do and use what they learn to create something of their own.
Activities can be adapted for different ages, group sizes, and settings, including libraries, recreation programs, community events, and private parties. Programs may incorporate color experiments, material exploration, dye techniques, and wearable art, with each participant leaving with something they've created.
What is it?
Explore Color
Discover primary, secondary, and complementary colors through hands-on experimentation.
Experiment + Predict
Mix, combine, and test colors to see what happens, then compare the result with what they expected.
Create with Intention
Use color choices, patterns, and techniques to make an individual piece rather than simply copying a sample.
Take Something Home
Programs culminate in a finished creation that reinforces what participants explored during the activity.
