Design is something I practice, teach, share, and advocate for.

ABOUT ME
Taylor Anna Design LLC brings together interior design, consultation, and creative education. This studio has grown from a career spent both practicing design and teaching the next generation of designers.
Whether I'm helping a client rethink a space, teaching college students how interior environments come together, or introducing children to color through hands-on experimentation, my approach is rooted in the same idea:
Good design becomes more accessible when we understand why it works.
Background
I'm an NCIDQ-certified interior designer and educator with a background in interior design, interior architecture, and design-build practice. I hold a BS in Interior Design and an MS in Interior Architecture, and I've spent my career moving between professional practice and the classroom.
I currently teach interior architecture and design at the college level, with courses spanning design foundations, healthcare design, building systems, design communication, and the history of furniture and interiors.
I'm also a co-author of the fourth edition of Building Systems for Interior Designers, bringing together two things I particularly love: understanding how buildings work and finding ways to make complex design information understandable.

Designer + Educator
Different ways to design
Taylor Anna Design was created to give my work room to cross traditional boundaries. Some projects begin with a floor plan. Others begin with a classroom, a sketch, a color experiment, or a question about how a space could work better. The common thread is curiosity, problem-solving, and making design understandable.
Interior Design + Consultation
Practical design guidance, space planning, drafting, visualization, and project support.
Creative Education
Design-focused educational programming for students, schools, libraries, recreation programs, and community organizations.
Color Theory
Hands-on programs that introduce children to color, experimentation, and creative decision-making through making.

One Studio, Different Ways to Design
Background
I believe design education shouldn't be limited to design school. Children can understand color relationships through experimentation. Homeowners can make better decisions when someone explains the reasoning behind them. Students become stronger designers when they're given the tools to ask better questions.
That's the kind of work I want Taylor Anna Design to make space for.
